Q&A: David Downie, Kosdown Printing

David is the director of Port Melbourne-based Kosdown Printing. While the husband and father of two loves chocolate and spent his childhood obsessed with cricket, his real passion (if you can’t figure it from his answers below) is fishing.

Why did you get into printing?

I blame my father. 

Which superpower would you like?

I think I already have it. 

What is your greatest luxury in life?

Chocolate. 

Who or what makes you laugh?

Tony Abbott. 

What was your childhood obsession?

Cricket. 

What’s one of the biggest stuff-ups you’ve made in your career?

My first wife.

I can make money disappear. 

If your house was on fire, what three things would you rescue?

My camera and the dogs. I would put the cats back in.  

What would be your dream job?

Fisherman. 

How do you like to unwind?

Fishing. 

If you didn’t work in print, what would you be doing?

Fishing. 

Who would you like to be stuck on a desert island with?

Andrew Bolt, it would be my contribution to humanity. 

What did you want to be when you grew up?

Brilliant.
