After an involved evaluation period, Quark has licensed Jaws PDF Library from Global Graphics to provide direct Portable Document Format (PDF) output capabilities from QuarkXPress6 software for high-end printing and cross media publishing.
D2P has brought this same Jaws PDF engine to Australia to drive D2P Express Courier. This means that any printer with an e-mail account can fit out all of their clients with the Jaws PDF engine and receive PDFs made to the printer’s specifications delivered with a job ticket over the internet.
“D2P has focussed on client to printer workflow and delivering PDFs over the internet since 1998,” says D2P general manager John Weichard.
“We are very pleased that Quark has also chosen the Jaws PDF engine and this decision highlights that high end workflow is well and truly within the capabilities of this engine.”
