Rapid makes inroads into India

The press ordered is the largest Hot Foil label press manufactured by Rapid, the RP80 with a format of 250x210mm. It has been ordered fitted with the Rapid dedicated Hologram /Kinegram feeder for producing high-end security labels at high speed and accuracy.

Kamlesh Shah, owner of Letra Graphics has agreed to give open house demonstrations of the new machine as part of the deal which is the beginning of a sales drive by Rapid into the expanding self adhesive label market in the sub continent.

Bruce Mansell, Rapid Machinery managing director, says the new Generation 3 Rapid machines are 30 to 50 per cent more productive than the previous models with vastly enhanced registration capabilities.

He believes that the Indian market seems to be waking up after some years of weakness, and is hoping that this installation is the first of many more to be sold to printers in the region.
