Peter Lane, chairman of the SA/NT PICA committee says the level of printing excellence again impressed the independent judging panel in their challenging task of differentiating between entries in the 36 categories.

He says, “In some categories multiple medals were awarded because of the exceptional standard. The judges were particularly impressed with examples of excellent work in the areas of embellishment, screen printing, book printing and the production of annual reports.”

Lane continues, “This year the Judges Awards for the best overall South Australia and Northern Territory productions were replaced with Excellence in Craft Awards, which is another step towards providing consistency between the various industry award events across the country.”

Lane adds that the judges were particularly impressed with examples of excellent work in the areas of embellishment, screen printing, book printing and the production of annual reports.
