Ron Dean-Willcocks Insolvency Solutions were appointed as voluntary administrators on 15 March, with expressions of interest in the flexo printing and packaging company closing on 9 April.
The Silverwater-based printer is continuing to trade while the administrator looks for a buyer. Ron Dean-Willcocks confirmed to ProPrint that a number of redundancies had been made at Remedies, though he would not specify exactly how many staff had been let go.
Dean-Willcocks also said that “at this stage it is inappropriate to speculate” on what led to the company’s demise.
“We have a significant level of interest and I am confident that a sale will be effected,” Dean-Willcocks said.
Remedies Print specialises in sachet, label and foil printing and flexible packaging. The company houses a GIDUE Combat 370BK 8-colour web press (pictured), as well as a series of slitters and rewinders.
The printer’s half-year turnover to December 2009 was around $900,000. Its client list includes Bayer Australia, GlaxoSmithKline, Sigma Pharmaceutical, SCA Hygiene, SSL, Allergan, Pharmacare and Reckitt Benckiser.
