Rodney Frost to host 24-hour golf event for cancer research

Rodney Frost, CEO of The Lamson Group, will host the third annual 24-hour fundraising event, One Day, on Tuesday, 28 October 2025 at Castle Hill Country Club, NSW, with an additional event on Monday, 27 October 2025 at Windsor Golf Club. Both events will raise funds in support of cancer research.

“During One Day we spend 24 hours straight playing golf to honour those we’ve lost to cancer and to feel, if only for a moment, the pain endured by those currently fighting it – and their families,” Frost said.

“We play through the night under lights, with daymakers, glow sticks and glow-in-the-dark balls. It’s fun, it’s memorable, but it’s not for the faint-hearted.”

Every cent raised flows through Love Your Sister directly to OMICO (Australian Genomic Cancer Medicine Centre), where it is applied purely to Precision Medicine research.

“I’ve had the privilege of meeting the scientists behind the work, and I can assure you: your donation is making a real difference,” Frost added.

Alongside the marathon golf challenge, is a golf day on 30 October 2025 with NSW Chemist Golf. This event will feature a charity auction and raffle, with 100 per cent of proceeds going directly to this research. Frost welcomes your involvement and any donations of auction items if possible.

The One Day event has gone from strength to strength, raising $104,329 in 2023 and $262,372 in 2024.

This year, the target is even higher: a record-breaking $500,000 for cancer research.
