Conrad Birkett, business development manager for Roland DG Australia says, “The new VersaART printer line was designed to meet the demands of today’s global marketplace by providing high-speed printing and impressive colour reproduction at an affordable price point.
“Sign shops and print providers across western countries will appreciate the performance features, versatility and outstanding overall value offered by our eco-solvent RE-640. The RA-640 addresses the demands of emerging markets by combining our most advanced technologies into an aqueous inkjet platform, widely used in these countries.”
Engineered for long, unattended production runs, the new VersaART line features Roland’s latest print head technology. Roland DG claims the machine’s eight-channel print head accurately reproduces the fine details while delivering high-density colours for photographic reproductions.
The manufacturer adds a mirrored dual CMYK ink configuration (CMYKKYMC) produces ‘un-rivaled’ colour consistency, even in the fastest print modes – 33sqm/h for the RA-640 and 23.1sqm/h for the RE-640.
