The vice-president posting follows the departure of former head, Rebekah O’Flaherty, who left for a similar posting in the UK and Ireland.
A spokesperson says Schell will assume the role by the end of April. He is currently working as solution partners organisation manager in Europe.
The announcement comes three months after O’Flaherty moved to head up the IPG division in the UK. She held the VP role for South Pacific for four years.
