The customers, from Spain and the United States had purchased Scitex Vision technology that permitted a shift from traditional print methods to digital, a core focus of Scitex Vision’s marketing push.
The Corjet for example is the world‚s first industrial digital inkjet press for corrugated applications, driving packaging and POP display producers to digital production.
The Turbojet, meanwhile, is facilitating a move away from traditional screen printing applications. Larry Sloop of US company Admark Graphic Systems has been in screen printing for almost 25 years, but is starting to move jobs away from screen and onto his new Turbojet.
It is a vision that was endorsed by Dov Ofer, Scitex Vision president and CEO.
Ofer says, “We see our products being placed side by side with traditional products and
each job will go where it fits best”.
drupa represented the logical flow-on from a great 2003 for Scitex Vision. Ofer expects that the installed base of two product lines, including the Turbojet, would double by the end of the year.
