Spandex extends HP reseller agreement

Alex McClelland, managing director and vice president for Asia Pacific, Spandex says, “We chose the HP Scitex FB500 as our demonstration machine because it is a versatile industrial UV printer. It prints on virtually any media with excellent ink adhesion; with full bleeds; and at resolutions suited to outdoor, indoor, or even fine art and photographic applications.”

Spandex says in keeping with its policy of thorough knowledge and training support, it has installed an HP Scitex FB500 at its Mt. Kuring-gai headquarters, technical centre and warehouse.

McClelland says, “Since its introduction in 2008, HP Latex technology has taken the sign and display world by storm because it offers an ecologically safe water-based alternative to solvent printing. More than fifteen thousand HP Latex printers have been shipped worldwide and more than one hundred million square metres have been printed with HP Latex Inks.”

He continues, “HP expects these numbers to triple by 2016, with the amount of latex printed pages growing rapidly while the area of solvent printed pages simultaneously declines, perhaps by as much as 33 per cent. We are delighted to extend our agreement with HP to cover all latex models and now flatbed UV.”
