HP has named Spandex Australia as its best channel partner of the year in 2013 for its large format production (L series) HP Latex 280 and 260 printers. Spandex says it has been aggressively promoting HP’s environmentally friendly Latex inks for wide-format since being appointed as reseller in November 2012.

Alex McClelland, managing director and vice president of Spandex
Alex McClelland, managing director and vice president of Spandex, says, “Our customers have noticed that HP Latex technology is unbeatable for backlit signage and delivers outstanding colour fidelity in all other applications. “We have put our best foot forward and got right behind Latex on both equipment and consumable sales and the results have been pleasing. To have this acknowledged by HP with the Best Channel Partner of the Year Award for HP Latex L Series Printers is indeed an honour and rounded off our year with extra icing on the Christmas cake.” HP’s Latex printing technology for large signs and display boasts an outdoor permanence of up to five years with lamination, three years without. Because the inks are odourless, no special ventilation is required in operation and they are classified as non-hazardous. Spandex is now also a reseller for HP’s Scitex Flatbed UV Printers and 3.2m wide Latex production printers; McClelland says, “We at Spandex are looking forward to another successful year with HP in 2014.”
