Business woman, and mother of five, Stacey Currie will speak at all five events across Australia. Currie, a self-made woman, has enjoyed success in the print industry and other fields of endeavour. Currie grew a small business, Signs ‘n Banners, from $100 worth of sales per month to $100,000. Nominated in last year’s Telstra Business Women’s Awards, Currie also works as the ambassador of the Lighthouse Foundation for young mothers and has written a book on her life.
At the events, she will share her views on overcoming adversity, how to feel inspired and empowered, and how to take a dream to the next level and make it happen.
Organisers have expressed gratitude to major sponsors Bluestar Print Group, Heidelberg and Geon have made the events possible. They add that, although they have sent invitations to more than 3,000 industry women, some women may not have received one. Women in Print will also include a breakfast at part of PrintEx11 taking place in Sydney in May, intended to provide an opportunity for the women of both Australia and New Zealand to network, establish new contacts and acquire knowledge from within the industry.
