Stardream available through Paper Stop

Melbourne-based paper distributor Paper Stop has added the Stardream range to its line-up, in a move it says is aimed towards the commercial print market.

Steve Miller, owner, Paper Stop, says, “Stardream was discontinued by Ball & Doggett when they merged, as they had other metallics.

“We approached the company, it was formalised last week that we are the new distributor.

“Stardream has been a popular brand for 15 years, it is well known in print, graphic arts, retail community, and it is something which should continue.

“We are going to keep it on the floor in reasonable quantities, there is a four-to-six week timeline to get it into the country.

“We will be carrying 19 colours in the range.

“Stardream is a metallic paper and cover stock which is big in the packaging industry overseas. It creates a different look for a printer doing finished products, business cards, invitations, packaging.

“You can use it with foil stamping, the paper itself has the metallic look.

Paper Stop currently supplies to the retail, stationary, and instant print markets, having been founded 22 years ago, at the time focusing on social stationery.

Miller says, “We also operate as a sub-distributor, taking specialty papers from the major merchants and re-selling them, distributing nationally from our Melbourne warehouse.

“We have four staff, plus agents in a couple of states.”
