According to Agfa, the :Advantage N-SA was the perfect choice for Streamline Press to complement the existing Polaris CTP device. Adding that with its small footprint, the new machine was installed alongside the Polaris allowing plates to be made on either line.
The existing :Arkitex workflow has been upgraded to include a second NewsDrive that will enable plates to be directed to either of the output devices giving Streamline greater flexibility, according to Afga.
The manufacturer continues that with its violet laser imaging system, :Advantage N combines speed and reliability for small to mid-size newspaper and coldset web printers. Violet laser diodes provide a lifetime of use with the lowest cost of ownership, the company claims.
The :Advantage N-SA is designed to handle both Agfa Graphics’ current N91V and the new chemistry-free N92-VCF plate. Three versions of the:Advantage N are available and can image up to 100 single plates per hour, Agfa concludes.
