Sydney printer buys second HP Indigo and enters Queensland market with Scitex

The 45-staff company has installed the Indigo in its Leichhardt production facility and will install the Scitex in a new premise in Ormeau, which it said was strategically positioned between Brisbane and the Gold Coast.

General manager Bill Apostolidis (pictured) said the expansion would help the company provide better service to its clients in the region.

“We have been working in the Queensland market for some time,” he said.

“There are real opportunities for growth there and we already produce a volume of work for customers in Brisbane and on the Gold Coast. We anticipate the creation of a production facility will speed that growth.”

The Indigo has been installed in conjunction with an Indigo 3500, installed two years ago, to speed up operations in Sydney and deal with increased volumes.

“We work on one-day turnarounds here and since we installed the Indigo two weeks ago, we are getting work out quicker than ever,” added Apostolidis.

“There are no issues with moving jobs from one press to the other because we consistently get great colour coverage and the profiles are identical. This has removed downtime completely and that is a major advantage from our end.”
