Sydney printer develops iPhone app for job tracking and ordering

The app, which launched last week, is available now as a free download on the Apple store. It features a job tracking function and a quote calculator for standard jobs.

Impress director Jeff Williams said: “It’s all about moving with technology.

“We thought about the amount of time that people spend using their smartphones and decided that a printing app is something that can be quite handy to a customer for when they are in a meeting and need a quick quote, or if they are out and about and want to track their job.”

Williams added that the app took a month to develop and should bring in more work for the 17-staff offset and digital printer.

“A lot of customers have said how cool and awesome it is, but it is too early to see what the full impact of the development will be.”

The app is thought to be the first of its kind in Australia.
