Commenting on his appointment, Nakamasu says, “I’m joining Canon Oceania at an exciting time in its history. I look forward to leading the organisation as we continue our transformation to a full services and solutions provider in business imaging and continue to add value for our consumers, not only at the time of purchase, but throughout the life of their product.”

According to Canon, Nakamasu brings with him rich experience of Canon Europe, where he has spent more than 20 of his 30 year tenure with the Canon Group.

Nakamasu’s predecessor, Kenji Kobayashi, who held the position of managing director for almost three years, takes up a new assignment in the Canon Group as managing director of Canon France.

Canon Oceania companies include Canon Australia, Canon New Zealand, Canon Finance Australia, Canon Finance New Zealand and Lamberts.
