Hunt (pictured), who launched Modern Print last year from his home in Hervey Bay, told ProPrint he had seen the results of switching to a Perth-based supplier. He formerly sourced print from the Netherlands.
“I’ve got faster turnaround times now and my prices are still lower,” he said.
Hunt said he had racked up 730 customers since starting the business, with 30% of them repeat customers. He put this down to “the quality of services they receive and the quality of materials that we use”.
Modern Print has also gained overseas-based clients; Hunt said he had supplied US and UK customers.
Hunt started Modern Print last year after struggling to find a job in Hervey Bay and identifying a gap in the local market for printing and design services.
He is currently completing his senior high school studies.
