Total Supply acquires Spandex NZ

Total Supply managing director Dean Stuart described the move as one of “natural progression, as his company has already had a long association with Spandex Asia Pacific and parent company Gerber Scientific.

“Spandex New Zealand has overcome an enormous amount of difficulties to become a major supplier in the New Zealand marketplace, and I feel that the combination of both companies and our individual product portfolios will enrich our overall offering to customers,” he said.

Spandex Asia Pacific managing director Alex McClelland said he is confident the business, which has been operating in the region for the past 12 years, will “grow and prosper” under the combined entity.

“We have had a long and fruitful business relationship with Dean and his team at Total Supply, and look forward to developing this relationship further with the introduction of other Spandex and Gerber Scientific products,” Mr McClelland said.

“I am also sure that our existing customers will welcome Total Supply as their new partner to assist them in growing their business and developing the New Zealand marketplace.”

Stuart added that Total Supply is “not finished yet” with its growth drive.

“We have many plans on the horizon to ensure we continue to stay New Zealand’s foremost sign industry supplier,” he said.

The Spandex New Zealand team, headed by Sandra Bisman, transferred to the new entity on 1 May.
