UV curing firm partners with local distributor to grow globally

Cosmo owner Bryan Davies said the Auckland-based distributor was experienced in supplying local printers with replacement IR and UV reprographic lamps.

"We are still very dominant in the local printing and coating market with the bulk of the replacement UV lamps being supplied directly by us," said Davies.

"Our potential clients in the printing industry are companies looking to upgrade, retrofit or add additional units to existing equipment so the Benford range fits well into our product portfolio."

Benford UV said the Cosmo partnership was part of a global expansion strategy.

"Cosmo’s UV experience and market share makes them an ideal company for us to work with to capitalise on any opportunity that arises in New Zealand," said managing director Marc Boden.

"Without the right locally based partner it would be very difficult for growing companies such as ourselves, based on the other side of the world, to find business in the first place," said Boden.

"Once that has been done successfully the manufacture, installation and commissioning to successful completion is relatively straightforward, anywhere in the world for us, as we have proved many times in the life of our growing company."
