Western Australian print business Advance Press swept the prize pool at the state’s Printing Industry Creativity Awards (PICAs) taking home seven gold medals out of the 13 on offer.
Discus on Demand also claimed three golds with Quality Press winning two gold medals and Multi-Color earning one gold in the roll fed label category with all four companies now progressing to the National Print Awards in August.
The WA event was held at the brand new QT hotel in Perth and attracted over 100 print, packaging and visual communications professionals with all coming out to celebrate their big wins and prized work of the last 12 months.
Presenting partner Media Super representative Patrick Horneman spoke briefly, welcoming and congratulating all medalists.
It was a very successful evening for Advance Press with the Perth printer sweeping medals across the board. In addition to its seven gold, it also won two silver and three bronze medals.
The event was supported by the Printing Industries Association of Australia presenting partner Media Super as well as bronze sponsor Epson Australia and patron Ball & Doggett.
“We are delighted to have hosted this prestigious awards evening, which recognises the spectacular successes of the best print, and visual communications professionals in Western Australia” continuing “The evening was well received by the attendees,” PIAA board member Anthony Pittaway said on the night.
