Win a tip to NYC with Mohawk

Printers can win a trip to New York and have their work viewed by potential clients around Australia by entering the 2015 Mohawk Show from paper merchant BJ Ball.

Entries to the 2015 competition are now open for printers and designers to submit any work printed on Mohawk paper in the past two years, with the winners having their entries displayed on the travelling exhibition.

The competition and show were previously global events, with the tour spanning several continents, but Mohawk has discontinued them this year.

Mohawk’s exclusive Australian distributor BJ Ball has kept it alive as an Australia-only event, with shows in Sydney on September 2 and Melbourne on September 9.

The Best in Show winner will get a four-night trip for two to New York, including visits to the Mohawk Paper Mill and Pentagram Design Consultancy, and $1000 spending money.

Winners of the 11 categories – annual reports, books, corporate brochures, direct mail, stationery (single or series), posters, magazines, integrated communications (series only), calendars, miscellaneous, and innovation in paper – will also get medals at the show.

Mohawk says the show honours the impact of the graphic design industry and the important role that design plays in culture.

“It allows printers and designers a chance to catch the eye of their peers and potential clients by having their entries reviewed by an esteemed panel of jurors and viewers of the traveling exhibit,” it says.

Entries close on June 30 and all submitted work must have been produced between June 2013 and June 2015. Any company involved in the work can submit the entry.
