Hexis Australia will be hosting the second round of the company’s World Wrap Battle at the Visual Impact trade show in Sydney next month, with the local winners to go on to compete against the top contenders from Brisbane.
Each day of the show will see competitors within the industry take to the ring in a series of 15 minute qualifying rounds, where each of four participants will be asked to wrap a panel of the Hexis Battle Shield.
Hexis says there will be $1,000 vouchers up for grabs each day, with performances to be judged by Sylene Poncet, head of International Sales, Hexis France, in addition to three local Hexis trainers. Daily winners will go on to compete in a final showdown for Sydney, with the local champion to be awarded with a prize of vouchers totalling a value of $6,000.
Ian Parson, managing director of Hexis Australia, says, “The World Battle made its Australian debut at VI in Brisbane earlier this year, when nerve-wracking daily contests created enormous excitement and really showcased the strength and skill of the operators in our industry. Now, we are looking forward to the second round of champions showing off their skills in Sydney.
The top two Sydney contenders will compete against their counterparts from Brisbane on September 14.

In addition to the Battle, Hexis is running a separate design competition for graphic designers, with a $1,000 product voucher on offer and the winning design set to be used to wrap the company’s vehicles.
The ultimate winner will also score a trip to France to visit the Hexis production facility at Frontingnan, staying in Montpellier, with an additional two-day stopover in Paris on the return journey.
Parson says, “The design element is a critical part of the process and we wanted to give the graphic designers out there a chance to shine. You do not win the battles in this business without landing blows in all key areas – from design, to production and installation.”
As well as showcasing the products in action at the World Battle, the company will have a range on display at its stands B8 and B10 at the show.
