Worldwide Online pushes into the consumer market with photobook site

The ‘Creations’ website gives customers the opportunity to design and order photobooks, promotional merchandise, canvas prints, corporate calendars, cards, stationary and posters.

Work is produced by an unnamed NSW-based printer, which also produces photobooks for leading Australian retailers.

The launch corresponds with the appointment of new national marketing manager Phil Wilkinson, who was formerly owner of Worldwide Online’s Surry Hills store.

Wilkinson said: “The beauty of this for store owners is that it is totally hands-free so they can offer another service without not necessarily having to do that much.

“Each of the franchisees is linked to it and it still works based on the territory system. For customers who aren’t comfortable doing it online, they can visit a franchise to get help with design and artwork.”

Worldwide Online Printing managing director Rob Dallimore said the move into the consumer market was part of the company’s long-term strategy.

“We are in the continual process of diversifying our product range,” he said

“They say photo gifting is billion dollar market out there, so we need to get a piece of the pie.”
