Winners in the prestigious label printing competition will receive their awards at Labelexpo, Brussels on the last day of the show, September 29 2007.
Label converters from all over the world are invited to submit sample labels of their choice for evaluation by a panel of industry judges.
Judging criteria include registration, smoothness of dot/vignette, overall print quality, and degree of difficulty.
Entries will be judged in categories relating to technology used and end-use application.
XSYS Print Solutions honoured eleven companies with a total of 14 awards at Labelexpo Chicago 2006.
Categories included water-based flexo, UV flexo, combination printing, specialty printing, and UV flexo for shrink sleeves.
Award winners included McDowell Label & Screen Printing, Smyth Companies, Labels West, Steinhauser, Nosco, Advanced Label, WS Packaging, Prakolar, Adhepel Etiquetas, Kromos Producoes Graficas, and Kontur Printing House.
Judging the event were Mike Buystedt and Niklas Olsson of XSYS Print Solutions, Ray Mackura of Avery Dennison, and Terry Trexler of Gallus.
Entry Guidelines
- Each entry must be printed using inks from XSYS Print Solutions
- Entries can be a commercial label, or a promotional label
- Entries can be sent in roll or sheet form, and no less than 100 of each label entry must be supplied (converters will be contacted to verify if rolls can be displayed on the XSYS booth at Labelexpo)
- Entries should be received no later than August 10, 2007
- Entries should be submitted direct to XSYS Print Solutions.
