Central Colour snaps up Mitsubishi’s first European Diamond V3000

Andy Baxter, joint managing director of Nottingham-based Central Colour, said the machine represents “a giant leap for the company”.

It will use the new machine to produce brochures and direct mail for clients that include Jaguar, Bentley and Land Rover.

The company carries out runs of 500 up to quarter of a million and turns in around 30m impressions a year, according to Baxter. The new V3000 will be installed in October.

Baxter said: “We’ve been at full capacity for four or five months now and the Mitsubishi was leagues ahead of the competition.

“We always try and keep on top of things by investing every few years. This machine will help us do that.”
