Direct Mail & Marketing and Datasend merge to create DMM

Direct Mail & Marketing has been on an upward trajectory for several years, and its managing director Fred Humphrey will head up the new business, which has clients across the whole of Australia, and including New Zealand.

Humphrey told Australian Printer that the new entity, which will set up shop at Direct Mail & Marketing’s 40,000sqf facility in Dandenong South, will merge each of the companies’ operation systems, capital equipment and staff to become a dominate player in the Victorian mailing market.

He says, “The merge will give both companies access to new clients, skills and equipment and bring it all under one roof. The move puts us in the position of the largest privately owned mail house in Victoria.

“We will now have more access to almost every part of the market as we will be running the same piece of machinery in longer shifts.”

Exact staff numbers making the move to DMM are as yet unknown, however Humphreys expects to boost his staff force from 65 full time staff and 50 casual to around 90 full time and up to 100 causal. He says, “We are happy to take as many as possible.”

The timeline currently sees March next year as date for completion.
