
Speaking at a conference in London last Thursday (May 29), Aida Greenbury, director of sustainability and stakeholder engagement at APP Indonesia, said the company was committed to reducing its environmental impact.
FSC suspended APP’s rights to use the FSC logo last November over the accusations. Greenbury said the company’s future was now with PEFC.
“The allegations mainly related to sawn timber and furniture,” said Greenbury. “We are committed to having our chain of custody and legal origin verification system re-verified on a regular basis.”
