Australia’s biggest Snap aims for corporate clients with Fuji Xerox 1000 presses

The group, which owns six Snap franchise stores and eight territories across three states, installed the first machine at its O’Connell Street store three weeks ago with another set to go into the Westpac Copy Centre on Kent Street in 10 days’ time.

Director John Budgen (right) said the group would primarily use the machines for short-run variable data work.

“The Color 1000 Press contributes to our ability to provide effective, efficient and unique print communication for our clients and their customers,” he said.

“Snap offers creative effects with inline clear dry ink technology, combined with superior image quality never possible before.”

He added that the machine had integrated well into the operation and was simple to operate.

The group operates a centralised artwork hub in Alexandria for production across the network, which includes an iGen4, two HP Indigo presses and a variety of other digital machinery.

Adam Fittler (left), production solutions specialist at Fuji Xerox Australia, helped integrate the machine at CBD Print Group.

“The CBD group is the largest owner in the Snap franchise group in Australia, so they understand that printing companies today have to constantly provide greater value to their clients in order to stay ahead of the competition,” he said.
