Barnes and Strachan leave Fujifilm

Fujifilm Graphic Systems general manager Lindsay Barnes and business manager Troy Strachan have both departed the company due to ‘several significant changes’ to the division, according to Fujifilm.

As part of the restructure Barnes and Strachan are no longer at the imaging giant, which has begun the recruitment process to ‘build a stronger and more efficient team’.

Fujifilm Australia COO Dave Marshall says, “The Australian print and graphics industry has always been a major focus for Fujifilm and as such we are always looking for ways to better serve our customers and drive the business forward.

“The next stage of this process involves us restructuring our Australian sales and marketing team and bringing exciting new technologies and products including the much-heralded Fujifilm Uvistar Hybrid 320 super wide format printer to market in the near future.”

Industry veteran and Fujifilm Australia print and graphics expert Warren Hinder has stepped in as interim division manager until a replacement is found.

Marshall says the company is keeping an eye out for a new division manager with a customer-centric focus who will also improve the Australian operation’s supply and logistics.

“It is an exciting time for Fujifilm Australia’s Graphic Systems division as we push a far more proactive and hands-on approach to the business’ management,” he says.

“There are clear growth objectives, the first and most critical of which is to become an even more customer focused organisation in order that we better meet the needs of an ever-changing industry.”
