basysprint launches two new CTPs

The company manufactures CTP systems that use conventional plates, enabling uses to draw from a wider range of plates, and reducing costs.

The UV-Setter 731e is an entry level device which basysprint says is for printers seeking simple and straightforward conversion to CTP, at a very affordable price. Like all UV-Setters the 731e is based on the computer-to-conventional-plate technology developed by basysPrint for the exposure of inexpensive and reliable conventional printing plates. This model of the Series 7 will be delivered with a Bacher Control 2000 pin bar and a standard vacuum layout. The company says the UV-Setter 731e delivers excellent output quality, as proven by the independent German institute Fogra, combined with low cost of ownership and high process reliability.

BasysPrint has launched the fully automatic UV-Setter 736 as its top level platesetter of the Series 7. This new product has evolved from the UV-Setter 710, which has over 300 installations to date. It has full automation. processing up to three different plate formats in three or optionally five magazines. The maximum plate size is 940x1150mm. The interleafing paper is removed automatically. Before exposure, the plate can be punched using a maximum of two different inline systems, providing maximum register accuracy during printing. The flat bed exposure table holds the plate via a vacuum. After imaging, the plates are transferred to the online processor. Each of the five plate cassettes can accommodate up to 100 plates with a thickness of 0.30mm or 150 plates with a thickness of 0.15mm. The plates can be loaded into the Autoloader under daylight conditions.
