Blue Star Group, one division of the ASX listed IVE Group Ltd, will acquire Victorian based Fineline Printing, with an intended completion date of this Friday, April 29.
Current Fineline owner Neil Collyer bought the business in 2012, four years after joining as general manager in 2008 , paying in the region of $3m to founders Trevor Nurse and Andrew Cohen, who retired after 30 years in charge. Prior to joining Fineline Collyer had held senior positions with Salmat, Trading Post and Fairfax.
Blue Star has been looking for a suitable acquisition in Melbourne for the past six months as it seeks to expand its business there.
Recognised as one of Melbourne’s most reputable and professional print and communication specialists for more than 30 years Fineline will be integrated into Blue Star Print in Clayton, with warehousing services to be managed from Blue Star Connect’s logistics site in Keysborough.
With a diverse range of production capabilities, including sheetfed and digital, Fineline Printing offers a comprehensive suite of services including design, commercial printing, wide format printing, print management and warehousing.
Blue Star Print Victoria general manager Brad Hoffmann will continue to lead the combined business with Neil Collyer assuming a senior role within the business.
