Developed in Australia, the tool allows the user to select from a range of standard imposition layouts (or create their own), then apply page gutters, bleed, trim marks, registration marks and colour bars, according to Branchus Creations. Adding that within seconds, the imposed pdf can be downloaded, ready for use.
The company also says that Impose Online can take a single business card and impose it x-up on a page or take a multiple page pdf and impose to a saddle-stitched or perfect-bound layout, ready for booklet printing. With full control over page rotation and numbering, the simple yet powerful controls make Impose Online a real alternative to the high-cost solutions currently available.
Bruce Rayne of Branchus Creations and developer of Impose Online believes that many will find this service a huge time and money saver.
He says, “Unlike the imposition applications that exist on the market, Impose Online offers an easy, convenient and cost-effective way of doing things. Our pricing structure will be based on how much users impose, meaning there’s no large financial outlay. For the casual imposer who may only impose a handful of documents a year, this is a very inexpensive alternative.
Rayne continues, “In fact, we will only start charging once we are completely happy with the service. Charges will be applied at a very affordable US$1 per imposed pdf sheet. This means a 32 page document, imposed eight up, will cost $4.”
