Broderick take ‘K’ road

” CPI ascertained what our budget was and it was obvious we were short by several hundred thousand dollars for a new press. Undeterred they were back in a few days with details of a Komori five colour located in Germany.”

The late model Komori Lithrone L528, not only matched Broderick Print’s budget, but also exceed its expectation on specification. The press with less than 40 million impressions on it, has the highest specification available in Germany, including a high degree of automation, KMS-IV (Komori Management System) and PCC-IV which is a CIP3 Network-Ready Software for online Data Conversion providing faster make readies, less paper waste, higher productivity, higher print quality and a streamlined digital in-plant workflow. The press also has a PDC-S Scanning Spectrodensitometer, which allows easy creation of ICC profiles for end-to-end colour control.

“We flew CPI’s engineer over to inspect and on his recommendation we purchased the press. The service since then has been exceptional. The machine arrived and was installed on the date promised and the computer technicians were flown in from Australia to familiarise our printers. There were a few scratches on the machine when it arrived so CPI arranged for a touch-up painter to get rid of them. Now anybody visiting our factory thinks the press is new.

The machine has been running perfectly since installation and whilst we haven’t needed an engineer, they still call in when in the area to ensure all is OK.”
