Business strategy and communication in mailing

The 2006, duel conference and exhibition, will be held from August 16 to 17 at Randwick Racecourse, Sydney and will host industry professionals from the top 120 generators of postal mail.

Attending this year’s conference and exhibition will be delegates from commercial organisations, charities, and State and Federal Governmental organisations.

The underlying theme for the event this year, is communication and business strategy – a topic Major Mail Users CEO and conference organiser, John Gillroy, says will attract the leading minds in the mailing and direct marketing arena.

“We are hoping this year’s convention brings key players at the high volume end of the industry so that they can exchange ideas and continue to increase their business contacts,” he says.

Day one’s keynote address is, Engagement and Communication Effectiveness focusing on perspectives from both receivers and senders of mail, and is to be presented by Professor of marketing science and research, at the University of Auckland, Peter Danaher.

Day two will feature leading thinker in the business of mail, executive director of Preferred Futures, Dr Peter Ellyard, who will deliver an address on strategic planning in mail.

Other guest speakers at the conference are the national manager of information at HPA, Mario Veronese, who will be discussing the pressure of the developing technologies through the past two decades.

Guy Broadhurst, senior director of product marketing at Océ Digital Document Systems, USA, will give insights from a global operator’s perspective and Graeme John, managing director of Australia Post, will describe Australia Post’s interest in developing the mailing industry.
