Canon launches new Arizona models

Canon has introduced its latest models in the top selling Océ Arizona series, with hopes printers of all sizes will be interested in acquiring the machine.

The new model, according to Canon, boasts a capacity to print ‘in any size, on any media and in any space’ and will fit the demands of small, mid-size and large-scale printing companies. Canon says the new Océ Arizona 1200-Series makes attention-grabbing flatbed printing accessible to all.

The new printers will ‘feature four, six or eight colour channels in small or large table formats’ and are configured as Océ Arizona 1240 GT/XT, Océ Arizona 1260 GT/XT and Océ Arizona 1280 GT/XT.

The latest additions to the world’s best-selling range of UV flatbed printers have been designed for sign and display graphics print producers, developed to support a broad range of rigid and flexible media applications, and feature the enhanced print quality of six colour Océ VariaDot printing technology.

Canon product manager of display graphics Tom McKerrow says the product will be showcased to customers at the Brisbane Visual Impact trade show this April.

McKerrow says the new model has several new features ‘productivity wise’ which the business would like to keep under wraps at this present time.

The new flatbed systems will reportedly be used for the sign market, point-of-purchase and mid-volume production jobs.

Canon says the company anticipates a lot of consumer interest in the newly launched models, and is speaking to customers interested in purchasing.

There are currently more 5000 Océ Arizona printers installed worldwide, and Canon says the new model is expected to further drive the series’ ‘extraordinary’ success.
