Canon unveils categories for Arizona Awards

Canon’s Océ Arizona Awards are open for entries, there are three categories, with the Most Technical, Most Effective, and Most Creative & Innovative works to be awarded.

Entries will be judged by Garry Muratore, product manager, Display Graphics, Canon Australia. Muratore has four decades of industry experience, is a fellow of the Lithographic Institute of Australia and has judged digital print at the National Print Awards and various state based PICA awards.

Muratore says “I am constantly amazed to what our customer base continues to produce using this technology. I look forward to being a part of a program that recognises their skill and effort.”

Adrian Morris, general manager, Professional Print, Canon Australia says the competition will recognise customer’s skill, effort and pride in producing high-quality applications utilising their Océ Arizona printers.

“A lot of the work produced are bespoke creations, requiring the best equipment and limitless imagination. They are designed to enhance the brands of their customers –so technical expertise, creativity and effective design are paramount to achieving a lasting impression.”

Canon says the winner of the Most Technical award will demonstrate a high level of difficulty; the application will be high value, multi-layered print on objects.

The Most Effective award will go to an application which will be high impact but not necessarily technical, with the project objective and environment in which the application appears considered.

The Most Creative & Innovative award will be given to the application which is most advanced or original.

The winner of each category will receive an EOS M5 Single Kit valued at $1,949.

Canon says the awards celebrate outstanding work produced on an Océ Arizona printer, and highlight the creativity and imagination of Canon customers by showcasing what these printers are capable of.
