Carrigan appointed as NPL chairman

Carrigan has spent more than 45 years in the printing industry, and before his term at CPI Graphics, was employed by SICPA Graphics. During that period he travelled extensively around the world, maintaining major supplier relationships and developing new market initiatives.

Rod Urquhart, SmartPrint CRC CEO and NPL director, says, “We are very pleased to have secured the services of a person with such a broad industry background and knowledge combined with commercial and managerial acumen to chair the National Printing Laboratory, and to provide guidance for our future development”.

The NPL is a joint venture between the Victorian Government (which has funded the NPL under its Science and Technology Initiative), Monash University and industry partners. These include Note Printing Australia, PaperlinX (Australian Paper), Norske Skog, Visy, Amcor, Toyo and SICPA.
