The Komori is the company’s first B1 press, and first eight colour. Clive Denholm, founder, CMYKhub told Australian Printer, “This is a significant investment and underpins our belief in the relationships we have with our customer base. As a trade only supplier, to be able to offer a larger range of products and to re-energise the industry.”
CMYKhub first had a look at the Komori press at last year’s drupa and were impressed with the low make ready sheets and improved make ready times. The press will be installed in May in the Melbourne factory.
Denholm says, “As you know by now, we are fully committed to adding to our range of equipment to empower our reseller network to be successful.”
Trent Nankervis, managing director, CMYKhub Melbourne told Australian Printer, “The bottom line is that our customers can have the CMYKhub service experience for a much larger range of products which are cost effective, improving print reseller margin.”
Nankervis says, “At CMYKhub we are focused on supporting our resellers. The Indigo 5600 has already been a big hit, the ability to run thick substrates, white ink and synthetics using one shot technology. It is cost effective for low quantity saddle stitched and perfect/PUR bound books.”
Nankervis says, “The new Komori with H-UV drying will blend in perfectly with the Indigo, offering more vibrant colours than traditional offset, synthetic print options up to a B1 sheet size and allow us to compete at higher volumes. The H-UV gives us the ability to finish the work regardless of paper type straight after printing ensuring our turnaround times are the benchmark of the industry.”
Deholm says, “This year has seen the launch of free online print management software for our resellers, we recently added the Indigo 5600 and now this new eight-colour Komori perfector which is arriving in May. In all, it becomes a very compelling package for a smaller printer to consider partnering with CMYKhub if they haven’t already done so.
“We are looking to do whatever we can to support our customers so they can run a profitable and successful business,” concludes Denholm.
