Durst Oceania and Melbourne-based printer Evan Evans will host the industry’s first open house of 2025 demonstrating the first Vanguard printer in Australia.
Evan Evans installed the Vanguard VK300D-HS high production flatbed LED UV printer last year shortly after the brand was launched in Australia following the Fespa Global Print Expo in Amsterdam.
The VK300D-HS features a high-speed electromagnetic drive system that propels the carriage at speeds up to 1.8m per second delivering up to 60 boards an hour.
Sonya Cameron from Evan Evans decided to purchase the first machine – sight unseen – based on her trust and relationship with the local Durst Oceania business and the service and support she receives.
Durst Oceania sales manager – Vanguard Digital Print Systems, John Bryson, said the open house will provide visitors with an opportunity to see the machine operating in a customer’s business.
“This provides the opportunity to view the Vanguard in a real world environment – not a showroom where the product has been tweaked. Visitors can talk to the owner about their experience with the machine and see it produce market-ready graphics. What we will produce at the open house event will be the same way it will run the following days, weeks and months after that.
“Durst is renowned for manufacturing quality machines, and as soon as customers hear that the Vanguard is a Durst product they immediately think it is out of their price range.
“The event will reinforce to the market that Durst has solutions for all levels of the market and not just the top-tier high volume customers. Combined with the Vanguard scalable platform, customers can purchase a mid-tier machine that can be upgraded without having to swap out for another model. Field upgrades provide customers with reassurance in a changing marketplace where versatility is everything.
“This will be a prelude to the two key events for the Vanguard business in the first half of 2025 – ISA in Las Vegas to be held in late April and Fespa in Berlin to be held in early May,” Bryson said.
The event will take place on 13 February, from 3pm to 5.30pm at Evan Evans, 4 Guilfoyle Ave, Coburg North VIC 3058. RSVP by 31 January.
