FESPA Australia confirms extensive conference program lineup

FESPA Australia has released a packed schedule for its 2023 conference which is being held from 8 am to 3.30 pm on Friday, 3 November at Shangri-La Sydney, with the ProPrint Awards commencing from 6 pm in the same venue.

The conference themed People, Planet, Profit for the second year will be opened and welcomed by Sam McCool, MC for the day, and FESPA Australia president Nigel Davies.

During the opening address, FESPA CEO Neil Felton will share findings of the FESPA Print Census, followed by the keynote speech delivered by the City of Melbourne’s former deputy lord mayor, Arron Wood.

Panel discussions, which will follow for the rest of the day, will feature Ball & Doggett’s Zaidee Jackson and Next Printing’s Pranil Chandra, discussing “Achieving Sustainable Priorities from a Business Perspective”.

The second panel will focus on “Leadership in Action”, to be discussed by IVE Group’s Matt Aitken, Easy Signs’ Adam Parnell, Cactus Imaging’s Keith Ferrell and ORAFOL’s Alex McClelland (Diamond Sponsor).

“Youth Engagement & Development” is the topic of the third panel by 2022 Future Leaders cohort ImageBox Group’s Troy Cavanagh and IVE Group’s Bianca Martin, as well as FESPA UK’s Suzi Ward and Jay Burfield, M-Power’s Ambrin Begum, Hexis’ Stella Lim and Starleaton’s Thomas Anderson.

This session will be followed by a talk from Jason McCartney, former AFL player and current GWS Giants general manager/head of football GWS, who became a national hero after the Bali Bombings in 2002.

The fourth panel will focus on “Artificial Intelligence: Friend or Foe?” and will be discussed by Nigel Davies, Knowledge Orchestra’s Dr Errol Brandt, OneVision’s Hussein Khalil, and Traveseral Labs’ Alex McClung.

A discussion on “The future of wide format printing” will follow before Davies, Felton and McClelland wrap up the conference at 3 pm.

Morning tea will be held at 10:15 am, lunch at 12:45 pm, and afternoon tea at 3 pm.

The conference will bring together leading industry experts, suppliers, business owners, and future leaders for a program packed with insights, inspiration and networking opportunities.
