Finishing only the start for Graph-Pak and Col-Tec

‘’Graph-Pak was the obvious choice for us,” says Col-Tec director, Paul Bailey. “They are one of the most progressive outfits in these markets and their portfoilio fits extremely well with our products. We look forward to mutual success with Graph-Pak.”

The staff at Col-Tec have many years experience and practical technical knowledge accumulated from the manufacture of collating machinery.

In addition to standard machines, the company builds and develops specialised bespoke models for many different collating requirements including bi-directional collators. The Col-Tec range also includes stitch/fold/trimming units and other inline options for a multitude of finishing applications.

Shrink wrapping and bagging modules are among the ancillary units that can be connected to Col-Tec collating equipment to satisfy diverse requirements.

An exit delivery conveyor (EDC) was introduced earlier this year as an alternative to the standard jogger and has proven itself to be a very popular innovation for a number of finishing companies. The EDC is a labour saving device and for companies currently using two or more operators to run their collators with one tasked to unload the jogger, this is no longer necessary with the EDC unit.

“Work can be priced more competitively because the EDC can receive up to eight stacks, thereby dispensing with the second operator,” says Graph-Pak managing director, Tom Ralph. “The collator can maintain its speed without stopping, enabling loading and unloading on the run and work can be regulated in the offset position like a criss cross jogger. Additionally the device can be utilised off line as a gathering unit for hand feeding pre-collated sections.

Graph-Pak offers sales and service Australia wide and plans to enter the New Zealand market in the coming months.
