Australian Visual Solutions is bringing the AnaJet range of direct-to-garment printers to Australia for the first time – with machines capable of pressing an image in just 20 seconds. The entry-level Sprint is said to be suited to printing vibrant graphics on light and dark shirts and other items. It features closed-loop ink delivery designed to reduce the likelihood of white ink clogging, and can handle printing on cotton, cotton blends, polyester, nylon, rayon, and spandex.

AnaJet says the Sprint offers high margins – if a typical custom printed shirt costs around US$3.00 in materials (between US$1.50 and $2.00 for the shirt, and 25cents to $3.00 worth of ink), and retail customers are willing to pay upwards for US$20 to $30 for a custom printed shirt. At the bigger end of town, the mPower i-series mP5i and mP10i single-platen garment printers feature industrial strength and speed and can be combined with AnaJet’s proprietary RIP software, AnaRIP, and design software, Spark for AnaJet. AnaJet says durable Ricoh stainless-steel print heads and the closed loop ink delivery system enable precise, consistent application in this range. The fastest single-platen direct to garment printer, the mPower mP10i can print a typical 12 x 10inch light shirt graphic in about 20 seconds. The mP5i takes about 40 seconds.

James Farmer, national sales manager with Australian Visual Solutions and Ernest Gal, technical service manager, are just back from a training jaunt in California, getting up to speed on the running and servicing of the AnaJet printers. Farmer and Gal are now back in Australia and say they are looking forward to sharing their AnaJet knowledge with customers. Prices range from around $15,000+gst for the Sprint through to $35,000+gst for the mPower mP10i, including phone support for installation with a range of setup videos.
