Fuji Xerox to reveal inkjet press at drupa

Fuji Xerox Australia is set to debut its first ever cut-sheet inkjet press at this year’s drupa, with the Xerox Brenv HD Production Inkjet Press to be revealed at drupa 2016.

According to Fuji Xerox, the cut-sheet press blends the profitability of inkjet and flexibility of cut-sheet to allow printers to enter the direct mail, transactional, books and catalogue markets. It is equipped with ink estimation tools and a colour management system set to ‘optimise image quality.’

Manager for production technology solutions Mark Brown says, “Inkjet will soon take on more high-end capabilities typically found in toner based presses, such as speed and inline colour correction.”

“Dubbed by InfoTrends as the Zone of Disruption, the Xerox Brenva will allow printers to take on jobs that sit between high end toner presses and low-end inkjet presses, opening up a whole new market segment and capture more inkjet printing opportunities,” he adds.
