Heidelberg adds pop of colour to Versafire

Printers looking to provide that extra splash of colour for their customers can now add neon yellow toner to their Heidelberg Versafire CV cut-sheet digital printing system.

The toner, which glows a vibrant yellow under UV light, can also be retrofitted to older systems.

The digital giant says the new toner is ideal for creating loud party invitations, adding a glow to ordinary bills and posters and producing eye-catching leaflets, even in short run with or without personalisation.

Heidelberg claims the neon yellow toner is so distinct that it can also be used as a security feature, since it is virtually impossible to replicate.

Operators can use the toner in applications without the need for any prior knowledge through the use of Prinect Digital Frontend developed by Heidelberg and the colour tools from the PDF toolbox.

The introduction of neon yellow means operators can now use three extra toners in addition to CYMK, with white and varnish already available.
