Indigo duo at Pemara

Pemara Corporation has purchased a HP Indigo Press ws4000 to compliment the recent installation of its HP Indigo ws2000 press, seeking to provide its customers with shorter runs and faster turnaround times.

The company specialises in high quality, innovative labels for multinational customers in the pharmaceutical, promotional, security, wine and personal care sectors, and seeks to differentiate itself from its competitors by providing this service in digital.
According to Pemara director of technology Kerry Avery, it was only logical to go with the Indigo to enable the company to achieve this goal.

“The quality of the HP Indigo press is absolutely superb and is often above the quality of conventional. Now that we have seen the best, we had to go one better and invest in the ws4000 which is even faster.”
“We have been driven to a digital process by major corporations who all wanted shorter runs and faster turnaround times. Digital printing has enabled us to print frequent, shorter runs which are more cost-effective and allow our clients to print every month as required,” said Kerry Avery.

Avery also believes that working in digital has enabled the company to cut its business costs as the Indigos allows for a lower stock inventory due to the machines’ ability to cope with shortening production runs. He is also impressed with the colour and substrate flexibility. With the HP Indigo Press ws4000, Pemara can set up a six-colour print job in less than 15 minutes with Pantone colours being matched online using the HP IndiChrome process.
