The competition, which has showcased the best of self-adhesive label print for nearly quarter of a century, recognises and rewards achievement in terms of both end use/marketing impact and converting quality.
Awards are given by a jury of leading industry experts in the main segements where self-adhesive labels are used. These include alcoholic beverages, food, household, industrial, pharmeceuticals, security, and booklet/coupon labels. Included are categories for the major reel-fed processes of flexo, letterpress, screen, offset, digital, combination print and foil blocking.
Taking account of the current trend towards using today’s high-speed narrow-web presses for substrates other than self-adhesive laminates, thus improving production significantly, the competition also features a special category for printers who use their presses for non-adhesive tags, labels and cartons.
Entires may also be submitted for a special innovation category, which takes account of new application areas for self-adhesive labels, and the judges may additionally a their discretion, select an outstanding label for the nomination of ‘best of show’.
