It is today relevant as it was back 70 years ago. Succession planning has always been the key to the Industry’s future and success.

Many of JPE’s past presidents and past members are now leaders within the industry. The experience they gained from being a part of JPE has made a huge impact on their lives and those around them.

The invaluable network of colleagues they gained have become lifelong friends for most.

As a way of expressing the relevance of an association like JPE, the current JPE Committee will endeavour to capture the history of JPE in a wonderful book.

JPE will be sending out a questionnaire to all past presidents to get their stories of what is was like when they started in JPE and where they are now. All contributions are welcome).

Over the past year, JPE has been collating all the photos taken over the years and now has a great representation of its70 year history.

In order to help celebrate the 70th Anniversary, JPE has invited all past presidents, nominators, members and guests to its 70th Anniversary Ball on Saturday August 5, 2006 at the Queen Victoria Building, Sydney.

“Put this date in your diary now so you don’t miss out on a wonderful occasion. We decided this year we would give something back to those who have made JPE what it is today and acknowledge those who contributed,” says Franca Balsamo, JPE NSW President.

“The Ball is a one-off event, not usually part of our calendar but because it’s a special year we wanted to do something memorable so everyone can look back on this occasion,” adds Franca.

There will be lots of entertainment and loads of time to catch-up with your colleagues at the Ball. JPE’s annual Nominators’ Dinner is being combined into this evening in order to acknowledge all JPE’s Sponsors and Nominators for their support over the past 70 years.

”As the 70th JPE NSW President, I am looking forward to a great year and being part of a wonderful association. We have a full calendar of events lined up for our members, nominators and guests.”
