Kwik Kopy in top ten franchises

Design and print franchise Kwik Kopy has made the list of Australia’s best franchises, proving print still holds place among the country’s most prolific organisations.

Kwik Kopy was ranked number ten, up against the myriad other Aussie franchise giants such as Snooze, Anytime Fitness and Mrs Fields in the TopFranchise Awards by SEEK Commercial and 10 Thousand Feet.

The group currently has 104 locations across Australia, and has just announced its first profit growth in some time. It is becoming a player in website development as well as its core print activity.

The company has been in business for 30 years, and Kwik Kopy marketing manager Ryan McMahon attributes its success as a chain-store organisation to established brand systems and years of experience.

“Our systems and processes are pressure tested throughout 30 plus years of operation,” he says.

“We have been in business for a long time serving local communities. The majority of our franchisees have owned their business for more than ten years.”

McMahon also says high performance in the printing industry involves adapting to the digital revolution that has beleaguered many old-school print companies.

“We have built hundreds of websites for businesses all across Australia. Whilst print will still be our primary business, we aren’t burying our head in the sand and saying digital isn’t happening,” he says.

Kwik Kopy’s win follows a franchise sales upturn in the retail print market, after the group reported a revenue increase of one per cent in 2015.
