Labelexpo expands to Japan

The Summit will combine a high level conference on the impact of world label trends on the Japanese label industry, supported by a tabletop exhibition.

As many as 300 senior delegates are expected to attend the conference to hear the latest developments in label technologies and markets – with many of the leading industry suppliers taking part in the exhibition including Avery Dennison, Gallus, HP, Mark Andy, Nilpeter, and Raflatac.

The aim of the keynote conference will be to:
• highlight global developments in UV flexo and digital printing of films
• review and address the latest developments in filmic label materials
• discuss the use of letterpress in Japan
• assess the implications and opportunities of the trends for the Japanese label and film converting sectors and industry suppliers
• review the latest environmental and legislative trends affecting film converting
• understand major advances in digital imaging
• consider the impact of new smart and security labels
• look at what major brand owners and global end-users require for the future.

Roger Pellow, Labelexpo executive director, said, “We are very excited to be moving into Japan. The country is known globally for its fast moving, highly technological lifestyle – and of course 52 per cent of the Asian label market is in Japan.

“Label Summit Japan will give Japanese printers the opportunity to learn about global advances in label technologies, how trends outside Japan will affect Japanese printers, and to meet with both local and international suppliers to discuss the future of label printing in Japan.

“Our Label Summits have proved to be great success across the world, and I am very much looking forward to the event”.
